How can I add Cast Numbers to a Scene or a Shot?

If you import a script, Shot Lister automatically imports your cast, building a cast order based on amount of dialogue. However, if you don't import a script but start your shot list from scratch, then you can manually add cast numbers and names. Here's how:

You can add cast from the scene settings menu. You can also renumber the cast manually by edit each entry, or by resorting the list. 

You can also add cast to each shot, any cast added to a shot will automatically add that cast number to that scene.
